Thanks for the post, Vernon Lowe
There was a show that came on last year in the slot between The Middle and Modern Family called Better with You, and I was a big fan. It would appear based on its ratings that I was one of the few fans, unfortunately. This is not surprising, as I have different taste than a lot of people. Many of my favorite shows over the years have been canceled prematurely (in my opinion). The point is, I was disappointed that Better with You wasn’t returning this year. But! It turned out to be quite lucky, as the show that replaced it, Suburgatory, is thoroughly awesome. It appears so far that it’s doing far better in the ratings, so hopefully it sticks around for more than this season. The premise is that a single father moves his teenaged daughter from Manhattan to the suburbs, which is evidently a fate worse than hell. I live in the suburbs, and I don’t necessarily feel the same way, but the way the writers exemplify life in the suburbs is nothing short of genius. Every aspect is completely over the top, from the sweatsuit-clad soccer moms to the promiscuous high school girls. I love every second of it. Check it out on expertsatellite.com.
