Leslie Neilsen dies at 84

I just read that actor Leslie Neilsen has died at the age of 84. My dad says it has always seemed odd to him that Leslie Neilsen was so famous later in life for his comedic roles, because he started out as a dramatic actor.

The update said that Mr. Neilsen died from complications of pneumonia. I hope his friends and family will be ok. It is always extra sad when a loved one dies close the the holiday season. When I lost one of my grandparents around Thanksgiving one year, I always wondered if she "planned it that way" because she knew that they family would already be gathering for the holiday, and then we could lean on each other.

Holiday Shopping

I don't know why I only seem to blog around holidays anymore, but here I am again. I was online looking for gift ideas. I have one friend who simply loves purses, so I think I might get her a new one for Christmas.

I must admit that I am not to up on what is hot in the area of purses so I have to do some research and see what is hot. I have been looking around Zappos.com and they really have a huge selection of purses and everything else you could need to fill out your gift list.

Do you have a favorite purse brand? I do not think my friend is partial to any one brand, but I have seen her carry more Tignanello purses than other brands. It also seems that she prefers hobo style bags as supposed to a clutch.

They have some really cute Dooney and Bourke bags on Zappos, but I also like the Fossil Modern Cargo Satchel, wait I am not shopping for me. I must remember to look for her style not mine lol. I do that a lot, start out shopping for someone else and end up looking at stuff I like instead. Of course they do say that the best gift to give is something that you would like yourself right?
