How was your 4th of July? Our party went off with flying colors, red, white, and blue of course! The day went better than we could have hoped for. The weather was perfect, the people all got along, and the food was great.
The hardest part of the party was when anyone would bring up the main purpose of the party, which was to send our buddy off to the Army. Like I said before, we are all very proud of him, but we are going to miss him. His wife will be staying here for the time being and hold down the fort until he gets stationed somewhere permanently. By then I am sure she will have have their two little ones and everything else all ready to pick up and move with daddy.
My husband was in the service before I knew him. It is one of the things that makes me the most proud of him, but I do not know if I could have been the "one at home". I think I would have been too nervous. Especially now with a war going on, I commend my friend and his family for being able to do this as a team. I wish them and all the patriotic families across America,,,THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
