Veggies and Naugahyde

Did you ever hear a word that you liked the sound of, or maybe you have some you hate to hear? For instance, my dad does not like the word "veggies" lol,, so we say it sometimes to tease him.



I am so quirky that I can not even think of the whole list of words I like or don't like. I like the word naugahyde for example,,,I don't know why but it sounds neat. I once saw a stuff animal they called a nawga,,,,as a joke. Love that!



I also don't care for the word congealed. Some words just are too icky sounding.. I know I am odd, but that's me.

I found the banner that helps get information about missing children around the web. I can not seem to get it to paste right on my template to put it permanently on my sidebar or at the bottom, when I make a new template I will add it.

Name That Memory

I heard that song "Tub Thumping" I think it is called, on the radio. I had not heard it in ages, and instantly I remembered singing it while on a road trip back when that song came out.



Now mind you, my memory is not so good that I remember exactly what year that was. I do remember walking with my friend, singing it badly on the sidewalks of Windsor. That is what flashed in my head. Why does the memory work like that? It could be a song, a smell, a taste and BOOM you have a flash of something that you had not thought about in years.



What kind of stuff does that for you? What is your favorite smell that takes you back to your childhood? For me, when I smell popcorn I think of my mom and her magic popcorn pan, or nights over at my aunts house with a bowl of popcorn bigger than I was ( or so it seemed)
